wp-o-matic plugin crontab job error message

I have installed wp-o-matic into wordpress 2.7.1 and the crontab job for plugin wp-o-matic returns the following error message everytime it runs:

Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cron.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

The version of the software I am using is: WP-o-Matic 1.0RC4-6 Apache version 2.0.63 PHP version 5.2.9 WordPress 2.7.1
It is documented that: wp-o-matic Version: 1.0RC4-6 Requires WordPress Version: 2.2.1 or higher Compatible up to: 2.6
Can it be a compatibility problem ? Does Wordpress version 2.7.1 supports wp-o-matic version 1.0RC4-6 ?
