Feature Request: Force Excerpt
Reported by TheQuicksilver | August 20th, 2008 @ 05:45 PM | in 1.1
It would be nice if you could limit the length of content pulled in from an RSS feed, so that feeds sending out full text could be trimmed on the receiving end to X number of characters or words. That way if you are bringing in a dozen feeds, half full text, half excerpts, you could simply force them all to not show more than 250 words for instance, to provide some standardization amongst the entries.

It would be helpful if you could set an option to automatically remove images (I assume this could be done with a Regex filter, but an option would be nice and clean for users) from entries.

Yeah this would be a neat feature, I currently use the "rewrite" function to strip out the html tags such as "img" "img src" etc... It does the same job but leave redundent code in the fetch.
Hmmm... two tickets in one here...
