XPath style variables in custom post template

Is it planned to allow for more flexibility of what nodes from the XML to publish? I would really love to be able to customize the campaign display by grabbing only the fields I want, especially from a site like YouTube, where I cannot control the RSS file.
Incidentally, I agree with the others, this is a really great plugin. I just found it today.
