Blank Plugins Page After Activation

I click Activate for the wp-omatic plugin and then the page goes blank. If I click refresh the page stays blank, denying me access to my plugins. I have to delete or rename the wp-omatic directory by ftp before I'm able to see my plugins again. When I have it activated if I goto my Options page there's a message there saying something like: Click here to configure WP-Omatic. But when I click it nothing appears on the options page, it's still just my basic wordpress backend with the same message "click here to configure wp-omatic. If I click wp-omatic on the Options page it says the same thing, Click here to configure wp-omatic. I'm using wp 2.3.3, I'm on a server with php 4.4.8.
I'll create an administrator account for you to sign in if it'll help troubleshooting.
