Ampersands in feed URLs break feed fetching

I'm using some Yahoo Pipes powered feeds on my site to tweak the feeds first. The URLs are like this:
http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pip...?id=ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ&render=rss
Doing "Fetch Feed" did nothing, nor did the cron. However replacing that URL with a TinyURL to that URL made it work just fine.
