How Long Will It Take for Swelling to Go Down After Surgery?
Reported by rachle green2 | November 12th, 2024 @ 05:11 AM
I still have noticeable swelling after my surgery. How long does swelling usually last, and are there safe ways to reduce it for a more comfortable recovery?

Swelling after surgery can take anywhere from a few days to nursing and rehabilitation centers Los Angeles several weeks to subside, depending on the type of surgery, the dog's health, and the extent of the procedure. Typically, minor swelling begins to reduce within 2-3 days, while more significant swelling may take up to 2 weeks or longer. It's important to follow your vet's advice, keep the incision clean, and monitor the area for signs of infection or complications. If swelling persists or worsens, contact your vet for further evaluation.
