WP-o-Matic & Simple-Tags
Reported by Jeff | August 18th, 2008 @ 04:25 PM
You say WP-o-Matic & Simple-Tag's Auto Tag feature work together. For me, autotagging only occurs with WP-o-Matic if I manually 'Fetch' the feed. If I let WP-o-Matic pull the feed automatically via the cron job, no posts get tagged. Any idea why this may be?
thanks.

Same with me. Manual fetch is fine but once I use auto fetch no tagging takes place by Simple Tags.

Same here, the cron way doesn't apply tags, but manual fetch does.
Thanks for a great plugin,

Okay, I looked at the code for Simple-Tags and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't tag wp-o-matic cron-only runs. It does seem to be a Simple-Tags issue though, since I was able to whip up my own plugin which essentially does the same thing, and it works on wp-o-matic cron runs just fine. I made a page for it, if you wanna use it: http://autotagger.wordpress.com
Hope it helps :)

Hah, that's one way of solving it! I'll give the new plugin a test now... Thanks Jeff
