Timeout on grabbing a feed that exists
Reported by aresnickety (at gmail) | April 15th, 2009 @ 11:47 AM
WP-o-matic will grab and post some feeds, but on others, I get a timeout error from SimplePie via cURL. When I hit submit (as I try to make a campaign for the link http://openingup.org/category/ga... (which works in Google Reader,and which seems to be fine XML when I wget it), I get the error:
""" The following errors have been encountered:
* Feeds
o Feed http://openingup.org/category/ga... could not be parsed (SimplePie said: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received)
"""
I've also tried using autodiscovery (taking off "feed" from the URL). When I wget the feed, I see:
""" --2009-04-15 10:40:16-- http://openingup.org/category/ga...
Resolving openingup.org... 173.45.232.220 Connecting to
openingup.org|173.45.232.220|:80... connected. HTTP request sent,
awaiting response... 200 OK Length: unspecified [text/xml] Saving
to: index.html.2'
[ <=> ] 2,077 --.-K/s in 0s
"""
and I receive the attached XML.
Both blogs are on the same WordpressMU installation, which is running 2.7 as a subdomain installation. I've domain mapped the URL "openingup.org" but the same behavior is observed when I point WP-o-Matic at the original URL (openingup.org/--> aresnick.thesprouts.org/).

Just a note: due to some installation issues, I reinstalled the blog, meaning that particular link is no longer up. I will update the ticket when it is back online.

Been playing around with this a lot more, and still no luck. Posted on the nginx mailing list for help
Pretty deeply confused about what's up with it. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Just realized I didn't link to the nginx post: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.c...
Still no joy.

Could you let me know if this is going to be a wontfix? Or if you think there's something else I could do to try and play around with it?
